Run ID verification checks with idbox

You can now run ID verification (Service collects documents)checks using idbox as the data provider.

You can use idbox to verify documents by submitting them to the idbox portal. You can then view the check results in PassFort’s portal.

In order to run these checks, you need to have a direct agreement with idbox.

Contact us to get started or learn more about our idbox integration here.

Coming soon: Onfido SDK upgrade for Communicate forms

On the week beginning 7 November, we’re upgrading to the latest version of Onfido’s SDK (9.1.2) in Communicate forms.

The new version includes several bug fixes and improvements to the overall user experience.

The latest version also includes a requirement for your US customers to provide consent to ensure compliance with US laws on biometric data. Only those located in the US will be asked to provide their consent during the onboarding process. More information can be found in Onfido’s documentation.

Updated user interface for the Identify Shareholders task

As part of our ongoing work to standardise and improve how verification lists work across all PassFort tasks, we have made some minor changes to the user interface of the Identify Shareholders task.

Associates in the check result list, on the left-hand side of the screen, are now grouped by role. In the verification list, on the right-hand side of the screen, associates can have multiple roles. If an associate has multiple roles they will no longer appear in the verification list multiple times. These associates will now appear once with multiple roles listed. You can also edit these roles.

You don’t need to take any action. We have updated the PassFort help site to reflect the new UI design. Please refer to the help documentation on editing company associates on a verification list, copying information from imported associates, removing or re-adding company associates from the verification list, and manually adding associates.

If you have any questions, contact Support.

Logo and header updates

We have updated the logo in PassFort to show that we are a part of the Moody’s family. We have made a small change to the header bar as this phase of the branding update. These changes are just a part of our branding alignment and won’t impact how you use PassFort.

In order to support these branding changes, we have also improved the look and feel of our help documentation at help.passfort.com. Our new Help site includes improved navigation features, more quicklinks and additional reference materials.

Feedback request: Task management & escalation

We’re investigating improvements to how you can manage tasks in PassFort, escalate and/or assign them.

If you have limitations or workarounds for you current task management, escalation or assignment processes, then a PassFort Product Manager and UX Designer would like to speak with you. They will ask you a few questions about how you use PassFort now, and what your processes are like. This will help us inform how we shape PassFort in the future.

Please use this Calendly link to book a conversation.

Cancel Open Requests

You can now review and cancel entire open customer requests in a new Customer communication section in Profile management.

You can see the status of each form in the request and choose to cancel any or all of the forms in one action. When cancelling, you can add a comment that will appear in the audit report.

Previously, each form had to be deleted within the related tasks and open flow requests were unable to be deleted within PassFort’s user interface.

No changes are required to use this feature, it’s available now.

If you have any questions, just get in touch with Support or read more about cancelling requests here.

Communicate Forms Localisation Phase 1: Hardcoded Text

For the first phase of delivering localised PassFort forms, you can now configure the language of the set PassFort text to be one of the following:

  • English (en)
  • French (fr)
  • German (de)
  • Italian (it)
  • Japanese (ja)
  • Simplified Chinese (zh_CN)

This includes all the hardcoded PassFort text that isn’t the set question text. For example, help text, upload instructions, buttons etc.

The Portal has also been updated to show a form’s configured language in the Request from Customer feature.

This means the PassFort set text can be configured to match the text the questions are written in, allowing forms to be completely in an end user’s native language. Previously, the PassFort text was only available in English.

If you want to make use of this feature, you need to submit a change request to our team in order to update your forms.

Additional information

Overview Page

The Overview page (initial landing page) that lists all the forms in the request is not part of a form, so doesn’t have a direct point to configure its language. As a result, it uses the language from the first form. Therefore, if a request contains forms in different languages, the Overview page will change language as the end user works through the forms.

If you’d like us to set this up for you, just get in touch.

Future plans

  • We plan to expand the list of available languages that we support in future.
  • In the next phase of this project, we plan to enable forms to have multiple languages. Enabling customers to provide different translations of their question text that the end-user can select from. You can follow progress in our product portal here

Updated user interface for verification lists and the authorized persons task

Users can now remove and re-add authorized persons to a verification list using the PassFort portal. We have also updated the design of PassFort’s company associate verification list user interface. This new design is now in use for all tasks that use verification lists.

You don’t need to take any action, but you may notice that the layout of verification lists has changed. We have updated the PassFort help site to reflect the new UI design. Please refer to the help documentation on copying information from imported associates, removing or re-adding company associates from the verification list, and manually adding associates.

If you have any questions, contact Support.
