New Fraud risk check with Cifas National Fraud Database

With the new Fraud Risk check, you can use the Cifas National Fraud Database to evaluate the potential fraud of individuals and companies located in the UK.

Cifas is the UK’s leading fraud prevention service, managing the largest database of instances of fraudulent conduct in the country.

The members of this non-profit organisation are from all sectors, sharing their data across those sectors to reduce instances of fraud and financial crime.

Analyse how long it takes to complete manual tasks

Want to see how long it's taking to pass or fail tasks that require manual action?

Use the new Task decided with STP metric to filter out tasks decided with straight-through processing (STP).

The new Task decided with STP metric is available for all task reports. You can also use it to:

  • See the total number of tasks on your account that are being completed with or without STP.
  • Get an accurate idea of how long tasks take when STP is successful.

Check it out by going to the Reports tab (you'll need the Reports permission).

Get VAT invoices automatically

When you top up your PassFort credit, your invoice is emailed directly to you.

It makes it even easier to pay for checks when you're using PassFort as a reseller for one or more data providers.

To see your balance and top up your account, go to Billing.

Note that to top up and see your pricing page, you'll need Read and write access for the Billing permission

Bring your team into the conversation

Now you can @mention teams in profile conversations to alert everyone in the team at once.

Go to a profile's Conversations area and type "@" then the team name into the comment box.

A notification is sent to everyone in the team. It's as easy as that!

Get started

  • To view and manage your notification preferences, go to notification preferences.
  • Manage teams by going to User Management > Teams (you'll need the Read and write access for the Manage Users permission)
  • Learn how to add and edit teams in our help center.

Get the full story for product applications

You can select any application on a profile to see the application status, risk level, required tasks, and recent activity - all in one place.

The recent activity section will only show you the things relevant to that application so you have a clear view of what’s going on.

You might also notice the navigation on the left-hand side is changed to make things easier to find. The sections in the navigation work as they did before.

Visit any profile to check it out!

Use iovation FraudForce to run Device fraud detection checks

Protect your business and customers from online fraud & abuse using the new Device fraud detection check with iovation FraudForce.

Security enhancements to user sessions

At PassFort we take your data security seriously, so we're strengthening the security of user sessions.

From today, users will be logged out of PassFort if their session remains inactive for more than 30 minutes. This helps protect your data when users leave their accounts logged in on public or unlocked computers.

Additionally, each user can now only access PassFort from one device at a time. If someone uses the same credentials to log in from a different device, the first session is logged out. This helps alert users that someone else is attempting to access their account and their password may be compromised.

Strong customer authentication is here

Our payment system has been enhanced with the strong customer authentication (SCA) requirements set out by the EU and UK authorities.

If your card uses SCA, the next time you buy PassFort credit, your card provider will ask for extra authentication to confirm it's really you.

Plus, we've improved the payment flow so you can change your top up card when you go to pay!

Find out when you should take action

Now you're notified when applications need manual completion.

Click the notification in PassFort or the link in your email to jump directly to the application that needs attention.

There are three notification preferences:

  • Be notified when an application assigned to you needs manual completion.
  • Be notified when an application assigned to your team needs manual completion.
  • Be notified when an unassigned application needs manual completion.

To change your preferences, go to Notification preferences.

Analyse checks and application conversion rates

Use the new check reports to see which data providers and waterfalling combinations give you best results.

  • Find out with the Check result report.Are your checks passing or failing
  • See the Check time to completion report.Which checks are fast and which are slow

And there's a new Applications conversion rate report so you can see what percentage of applications are approved each week.

Get these reports from the Reports tab (you'll need the All reports permission to see them).
